• Question: will there ever be a cure for blind people

      There are lots of different types of blindness, and so there need to be lots of different cures. Some blind people already have partial cures.       Don’t worry too much about the words, but check out Figure 2 showing how the artificial connection goes from the eye of the patient all the way back to the back of the brain (the occipital lobe, where visual processing happens).
