• Question: when you look at a computer do you look at the middle of the screen

      It probably depends on what you are trying to do. When we read e-mails, for instance, we need to move our eyes over the words in order to see them in enough detail to make out what the word is. Our eyes move in very specific ways when we are reading- we don’t look at every single letter, but we usually let our eyes look directly at each word (except words like ‘the’ and ‘a’ and ‘and). When we meet a word we don’t know well, our eyes often go back over it a few times- otherwise our eyes move on down the line of text.
      Most people can read around 250 words a minute! That’s a lot of words!
