      Hi there!
      This is a myth, reading in the dark won’t damage your eyes but it might cause eye strain which could give you a headache, ouch!! This is because the visual muscles get mixed signals and have to work very hard to let us read in the dark! The iris muscles relax to let as much light into the eye as possible to help us see but at the same time the visual muscles have to contract to focus the image of the words you are reading. This is hard work for the eye muscles and can make your eyes feel tired. Hope this helps to answer your question! 🙂

      It doesn’t damage your eyes, its just harder than reading in the light.
