Good question, I can’t even imagine what computer technology will look like in 50 years (phones are basically computers these days)

Even in the last 10 years, phones have COMPLETELY changed what they are capable of doing. They are now full of sensors such as GPS for location, step sensors to see if you’re walking, direction sensors for compasses, and of course they have wonderful cameras these days. You can program them just like a computer. And of course you can even talk to your phone to get it to search for things – it may not work all the time, but the technology behind it is still pretty amazing!

Where this is going in 50 years I have no idea. I think image-based stuff will get a lot more exciting – some of the things Google are doing with Google Goggles, and their wearable glasses is really interesting. I’m excited to be alive at a time when all this is happening, and if it interests you, going into a job in this area would be massively interesting, as everything is moving ahead sooo quickly!!
