      Hi there!
Great question! I’ve never repaired a blind person’s eye but hopefully when the stem cells that I use go to clinical trial for human patients in a few years time, then the doctors using them will be able to restore vision. I use stem cells to repair blood vessels in the eyes of diabetic mice, as diabetes can cause vision problems where blood vessels become leaky and don’t work very well. Hopefully the results of my experiments will allow these cells to eventually be used to help patients with diabetic retinopathy, which can cause blindness. Keep your fingers crossed! 🙂
